What's Your Style? (Part Three)
FRENCH PROVINCIAL STYLE:
This style is my personal favorite! French Provincial Style is like taking a step back in time to the South of France. Very light, soft colors in the textures and fabrics invoking a sense of romanticism. Think about a French chateau in the countryside......Now, picture this bedroom!
This bedroom is a beautiful example of French Provincial Style. From the cabriole (S shaped) legs on the tables to the curvature of the headboard, all the furnishings here represent that chic yet simplistic style loaded with romantic ambience. The monochromatic hues of cream in the furnishings and fabrics along with the sunlight peaking through makes the room feel very light, open and airy. The warm, rich tones in the stone flooring along with the splash of blue and white print on the chair gives this room a pop of color and helps to tone down the neutrality. Absolutely stunning and romantic bedroom!
This gorgeous bathroom is another example of French Provincial Style. The beautiful clawfoot tub and cane-back Louis XV salon chair are classics! The blue gray hues on the door and tub add a nice, soft hint of color. Add a few candles of varying heights and sizes and you have yourself a romantic bubble bath in the making!
This living room is a cozy and relaxing space with gorgeous French doors that let in a lot of light and fresh air! This is another room with a style indicative to French Provincial. Soft, light monochromatic hues of cream/ivory throughout the the furnishings and fabrics give this living room that comfortable and romantic feel. Don't you just want to sit here and relax with a glass of wine and good book?! Yeah, me too! ;-)
