Trending Interior Designs For Fall 2016
We all associate the Fall with hues of reds, greens, oranges and golds. Those familiar colors reminding us of sweater weather, crunchy leaves, pumpkin spice everything (literally, lol) and crisp coolness in the air. There have been some pleasant surprises to join in on the Fall band wagon.
Calm hues have been very popular this year. This lavender pairs well with the warm browns and creams and you can amplify these hues for the Fall season with your interiors. Here's how!
Like I mentioned earlier, when we think Fall season we think hues of golds, greens, reds and browns. This year I have noticed that jewel toned colors have made their way into Fall decor. Target has really surprised me this year with their Fall lineup!
Target has stepped up their game and produced a winning hand this season! The photo above is from their "Modern Berry Collection". Do you see what I mean now about how those softer hues can become more robust? Look at the plums and pinks intertwining with the golds, greys and browns! Fabulousness! I like to call this a rustic romantic look as it is not overly feminine or masculine, yet a happy marriage between the two styles. Below are some of the products from the collection.
Another great look this year that Target achieved was utilizing the traditional hues, that once again we're familiar with (golds, oranges, greens, reds) but adding in Gingham patterns as well for added texture. The photo below is their "Harvest Collection" and shows how well these varying patterns go together, creating a harmonious balance in style.
I went to my local Target this past weekend to check out these new collections and was very pleased with the quality of the products. In my opinion they look exactly the same in person as you see here in the photos. These collections are very popular and my local Target was sold out of a lot of what you see here, but they had plenty of stock online. I am really crushing on the throws and pillows so I ordered a few of them online :-)
The "Gather" pillow arrived a couple days ago and it looks even better in person! The backing is of a solid grey velvet texture and the front is a creamy hue accented with a golden wreath with "gather" stitched across. I also ordered the pillow with the golden pumpkin on front (lower left corner) and a lumbar pillow that says "grateful". Below are some of the items from this collection.
Another hot ticket Fall item this year are velvet pumpkins! They are too cute for words and are a great addition to any room in your home. Use them on fireplace mantles, dining room tables, coffee tables, anywhere you have a Fall display or want to add a little Fall decor. They work great for small spaces too!
These velvet pumpkins feel like little bean bags and come in an array of colors and styles. And did I mention how adorable they are??! ;-) You can find these at any home decor store, even Target sells them and they have more selections online. You can even make them yourself if you're feeling crafty!
The design trends for the Fall are rich, robust and enticing furnishings and colors that are a complement to any style. Combining various textures and patterns into your decor creates interest and beauty to any space! Happy Fall Everyone!! :-)
