Organization Goals!

1/1/2017

Happy New Year everyone!  You know that timeless saying out with the old and in with the new?  Well that means getting a fresh new start on organizing your home.

From your kitchen to your garage, organizing your home creates orderly spaces, making it easier to find things as well as visually pleasing.  Here's some examples of great storage ideas for your home.

I love using baskets for storage in my home and this is a really good storage solution for bathrooms, especially when you don't have a lot of space to work with.  Use a ladder bookshelf and add small cloth-lined wire baskets to hold small items like washcloths, hand towels, loofah sponges.  Roll your hand towels and washcloths to get the most use out of the basket space.  You can also go vertical and install a bracket with small baskets to hold items. Use a hamper to store used towels and linens

Using armoires and small chests are another great way to store your towels, linens and other items.  If you have enough space in your bathroom, a small chest will work wonders for storage.

Using cubicles as storage for nurseries, kids' rooms and closets is a great way to de-clutter their space.  Add baskets inside the cubicles and place their toys, books and crafts inside.  It keeps their room neat and free of clutter.  Also, you can use basket colors that compliment the room color and theme for balance and harmony.

Home offices can also benefit from cubicle storage.  I definitely have a set of cubicles in my office and I use one for school and the other for business.  This system helps to keep your files and binders neatly stored.  You can also apply this idea for storing crafting materials.  Remember you can go vertical when you're working with limited space.

Kitchen pantries are another area that could use organization.  I love using glass canisters in my pantry.  It makes items easier to see and creates unity. Not to mention it makes your pantry look fabulous!  Open shelving storage is another organization option.  Some people like it and some don't, but it's another great way to store your dishes and other kitchenware.

There are many tools to use to get your home organized and clutter free for the new year.  Using baskets, jars, canisters, cubicles and containers will help keep all of your items stored neatly, and using labels will remind you where your items are located, saving you a lot of time and no stress.  Here's to a happy new year and happy organizing!
