Late Summer Entertaining

Outdoor entertaining is one of my favorite activities.  Enjoying family and friends as well as your outdoor space doesn't have to end.

Here are some more ideas on how to enjoy those late summer days and nights outside!

I love the idea of having several several "lounging" areas in an outdoor setting (provided you have sufficient space, right).  This is a great way to have a couple's gathering or picnic.  Entertain with food and wine and provide extra pillows and blankets for comfort, especially if your event goes into the evening!

Here's a fun idea that kids can enjoy as well!  Set up a snack, candy or hot cocoa station for your guests.  Below is a fabulous s'mores station where guests can pick and choose what they want to make their s'mores.  Trust me, you'll be the talk of the neighborhood when you set up one of these delectable stands in your backyard!  Just save some for me please, LOL!

Here's my ultimate favorite!  Movie night in the backyard!  Talk about a spin on the classic drive thru!  Your family and friends will LOVE this and you for hosting such a fun get together!  Set up comfy and cozy seating areas, serve drinks, popcorn and snacks and let the movie begin!  Burn citronella candles to keep the mosquitoes away and this night will prove to be an unforgettable one!
