Fall Ready!

Happy September 1st!  The start of the -ber months that Fall lovers have been waiting for!  As for me, I've been busy with changing jobs due to this on-going pandemic, and add moving to a new city on top of that!  Well needless to say I'm glad to start adding Fall decor to my new home!

I'm absolutely in love with my kitchen and entryway and want to share with you all a few pics and tips on adding decor in any size space!

In the cover pic I added some of my favorite Rae Dunn items in this nook, along with a string of LED Fall leaves lights, pumpkins and cute signs! At night the lights gibe off a warm amber glow! 

Below, you get a wider view of the kitchen.  I love the open shelving above the sink as it adds more vertical space and draws your eyes upward.  My kitchen has a white and weathered gray color palette, which I love, so adding warmer earth toned Fall colors, along with other textures adds that extra level of Autumn charm!

This area below has a taller wall that I could lean this sign on and place my cute Fall gnome against!  I still have plenty of space for my every day canisters I use, as well as working counter space.  The key is not to over clutter so your space can still properly function for you!

I'm not quite finished with my island yet so I'll have to add that in another post!  In the meantime I did get my small entryway finished, and it turned out great!  This space below can be considered a mini mudroom area!  You can add a tray under the bench to place shoes and the wall shelf has 4 hooks that you an hang items on (keys, umbrella, a basket, etc..).  I love the functionality of this space!

No matter the size of your home, whether it's an apartment, condo, single family home, tiny home or RV, you can incorporate these or similar elements into your home decor to create that Fall feeling.  It's all about scale and proportion!
