Coastal Design Ideas

With winter just about over it's time bring some life back into your spaces.  For those who love tranquil spaces (I think that's all of us, lol) I wanted to discuss coastal colors!

When I think coastal I think ocean blues, seas grass greens, sandy tans and whites.  Very relaxing and rejuvenating!  Here I'll show you examples of decor, design and colors to incorporate into your interior and exterior spaces!

In the cover photo this is a beautiful example of adding some coastal chic into your bedroom decor.  Incorporating coastal colors and multiple textures by using beach themed bedding and accessories gives a relaxed and balanced feeling to the space.

​Below is an example of classic California coastal chic!  When you're lucky enough to live right on the water you can't help but bring that coastal feeling indoors! Weathered woods, tans, muted greys and blues were added to this open space to create a serene scene that compliments that gorgeous ocean view!  

In the living room space below navy blues, creamy whites and tans are used in the pillows, with beautiful creamy white slipcovers for the sofas.  Mixed materials (wood and metals) in the tables and accent furnishings help create balance to the space.  Sea inspired accessories such as shells and coral help tie in the coastal vibe.

​Add a touch of sea-going inspiration to the dining room area with large glass vases in blues and whites along with a sea life inspired centerpiece to create an interesting focal point!
