There's something about Paris that brings out the twinkle in my eyes and the excitement in my heart. Afterall, she isn't called the "City of Lights" and the "City of Love" for nothing!
I always get so excited for my trips to France, and this one was no different. Just knowing that I would be able to get away and recharge my batteries meant everything! Not to mention clinging on to hope of seeing some fabulous Fall colors. My Paris did not disappoint!
The moment I got off the plane and feeling the chilly air while walking on the jet bridge, I knew I was in for a treat! That chilly air was such a relief from the Florida heat. I love walking around the Parc Champs de Mars, which is right by the Eiffel, and people watching.
Watching other people taking strolls through the park, looking at all the beautiful Fall foliage that still managed to hang on until I got there. It was so relaxing and refreshing to be able to take a walk and enjoy the beautiful weather. It's that "joie de vivre"!
Listening to the leaves crunch away under my feet and then feeling a gust of wind come my way causing a whirlwind swirl of leaves to blow around. Can you see them floating around in the air? :-) Even though the clouds were rolling in and at one point I thought it was going to rain, but it didn't, it was still an enjoyable experience. So many people taking a strolls, couples kissing on the park bench. That everyday typical Parisian way of life!
As I was walking through the park debating on where I should sit and eat lunch I came across this tree that was still vibrant with red-orange color and just had to take a selfie! I must say that I was surprised and pleased that the weather was great for the majority of my trip, however, the temperature did start to drop towards the end. It was all good though, because that's what Autumn in Paris is all about.......Stay tuned for more stories about my trip!
